I call this artwork Human Nature. It illustrates the separation between humans and nature. The 'nature' half is coloured, while the 'human' half on the other hand is black / white only drawn with pencils. In the natural side you have humans flying out a tree, trying to go back into their part of the artwork. On the other side you see the colourised animals coming out of a building, also trying to make it back into their section of the artwork. A couple of months after finalising the artwork, I realised that it perfectly represents the Yin-Yang symbol, reflecting a part of the opposite inside itself.
How is it done? I drew the entire artwork by sketching it first with a pencil, and colourising it later using stabilo pens. The original artwork was created on a A4 Paper. Afterwards I scanned the artwork, color-graded it and made a few minor corrections in Photoshop. This is my very first piece of art i ever coloured, and which motivated to keep going as an Artist and Illustrator. Without it, I wouldn't be where I am today. As you can see in the details, it took me a long time to finish this artwork. I hope you love it, I put a lot of passion into it.
